Yoga Food & Mood with Samantha Tollinchi

Holistic approach

to health and spiritual well-being

Samantha’s classes combine both the dynamic movement of vinyasa style yoga with detailed alignment instruction in each pose. She has a warm, approachable teaching style, which allows the student a place in any asana, where they can personalize their practice by finding the opening that they need.

Samantha is 200RYT certified through Be Yoga in NYC in the style of ISHTA (Integrated Sciences of Hatha, Tantra and Ayurveda). She is a member of Yoga Alliance since 2003. In 2007, Samantha trained at Karma Kids Yoga and is certified to make yoga fun and approachable for toddlers through teens. Samantha regularly attends yoga workshops to continue her education and deepen her yoga knowledge. Locally she is influenced by Lisa Bennett Matkin and Susan Rubin. She also considers Kathryn Budig an inspiration and practices with her while in New York and also online.

More than yoga…

Help the “whole”

body and mind

Yoga Food & Mood with Samantha TollinchiIn addition to her yoga studies, Samantha is a certified Wellness Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN). Since 2005, Samantha has worked as a Health Coach with individuals, families and in a corporate capacity, supporting them in making small, gradual healthy changes in their lives. These changes lead to incrementally bigger change that become sustainable over the long term with her support.

In early 2016, Samantha completed a Mindfulness Training through Mindful Schools. With this educational opportunity she learned formal techniques to practice mindfulness. She frequently shares this knowledge with both her yoga students and health coaching clients. Samantha has furthered her training by taking the Mindful Educators course, also through Mindful Schools. Subsequently, she’s taught multi-week mindfulness curriculum to several elementary classes in her local school district. She looks forward to continuing this important work of sharing mindfulness in her community through her association with the Healing Arts Collective.
